Cynthia Delfino Birdsall is curious about people, places and what’s really going on behind the scenes.

She loves the inside scoop. Not for the gossip, but because knowing the story behind the story helps her understand people, see possibilities and connect dots others might miss. Put Cynthia in a room full of strangers and chances are she’ll leave knowing who should meet whom, whose idea deserves a closer look and who might be able to help someone else take a next step.

She doesn’t collect contacts. She collects connections.

That curiosity has shaped a career spanning higher education, local government and the nonprofit world, most recently as president and CEO of the YMCA of Central & Northern Westchester. Today, she is the founder of Pivot Impact Partners, bringing people and ideas together to help move complicated challenges forward.

But Cynthia is increasingly interested in something bigger than titles or résumés: What do we do with everything we’ve learned, and where might it take us next?
